Mien's Ordain Custom
They believe that if a man is ordained, he will come back in his next life as another man. He will also be successful in making a living.

What do you think? Let your opinion be heard.

Fou Khouan Phan: I am iumien who is living in the United States of America. I definitely love this website, and I see this mien family was holding a spiritual ceremony called Guaax Dang. It really makes me feel proud of who I am, where I belong. Believe in ancestral is a poweral religion because it is making sense, showing the respect from parents down to the beginning where it started. Believe me, these tribal people are powerful people, and one day for those people were already mislead will converted back to ancestral believe. I some of these minorities in U.S, and they had already converted back. They claimed that these pathetic, homeless, wanderers and non-vision Missionaries misled them.

Kouei Chiane Saechao: Kouei Chiane Saechao: I am also one of the Iumien living in the U.S. I had already Guaax Dang in the Refugee Camp Of Thailand before my family came to the U.S. I totally agree with Mr. Fou Khoun Phan. Some of Iumien were misled and persuaded by these pathetic, homeless, jobless, wanderers, hopless and non-visionary people. I feel so sorry for these Iumien folks who were misled, but it is never too late to convert it back ancestral believe. Ancestral believe is a very powerful religion (ZANGC ONGH TAAIX). It does making a lots of sense: respect our parents down to the beginning of our creators. For those parents, grand parents, etc, when they passed away, their family did the ceremony and the spirits to heaven and they become the family's protector. AS Iumien people, we love our family with a kindness. That is why their lives are bonded. Everywhere they travel, they can find their relatives. It is very unique believe. I love it. In fact , One of my friend had already converted back. He claimed that he was misled, felt really guilty what he had done. End up he told about his life, he was born in Thaind, went to school in the temple, and became a monk for nine years. When he completed his education, he returned home and went to work in the city of Chiang Rai, he was misled by a non-vision and jobless missionary. He became a very good christian believer. Finally, he found out that it was not making sense. Any thing that people do, they always have to thank god for it. In fact, no one can prove to him the existence of god in christian and thevada in Buddha. Last year, he converted back.

Bienh, Uv: I'm not a Christian and I don't know too much about Buddhism but I do believe that every 'religion/belief' has its own means (mostly good things); no religion has proven more superior than others - When it comes to a religious matter, I rather keep it to myself because it could be sensitive to others....

Kouei Chiane Saechao: I agreed with Bienh, Uv. I acknowledge that it might be sensitive to some one, but I just share my opinion to all ancestral believers to let them know that by the fact that some mien were persuaded, lied and converted to christian. I do not care if other non-ancestral believers want to convert to ancestral believe or not. That is their option. I do not like missionary go out to mislead people, especially ethnic minority. You know why; if we do not have our ancestral believe, we do not have our identity or foundation. It is wiped out completely like phillipino, and southern american people. Their language was wiped out by spanish if you remembered American History.
