" Hilltribes , Akha swing ceremony.

         This is the month of the swing ceremony of the Akha tribe. This swing tradition that the Akha people call “Yae-Khu-A-Phaw” will held every year around the end of August to early September, which will match the produce in farm are expand and ready to harvest in the next few days. In the meantime, this is the last time for the Akha people mow the grass in rice farm after this, they will wait for harvest.
         The Swing tradition of Akha people is a tradition that has the value with the wisdom of promoting the knowledge and also associated with daily life of them.
         Be able to experience the way of the Akha tradition in the village that they still take respect to the original. The Swing festival of the Akha people in Maetor and Phakhasookjai villages, Mae Fah Luang, ChiangRai will be held on August 24 2009. The village will be held on September 2, 3, 4, 5 are Apha village, Maeyao, Muang, Ch ChiangRai and other is Doichang, Vavee, Maesuay district, ChiangRai.
